In line with this policy Oceanfix has acquired the Geotracer 2004 RTK (Real Time Kinematic) GPS System with an integrated robotic Geodimeter System 600 Total Station. The processing of the data is efficiently presented using Plus 3's Terramodel software.
This complete survey solution is able to complete even the largest topographical survey in an extremely efficient manner. The master control station, or stations, is established and the GPS rover station co-ordinates the required survey points. The Real Time Kinematic mode ensures millimetric accuracy on baselines up to 10km. Any concerns over areas where satellite reception is unavailable are eliminated using the integrated Total Station, which tracks the rover station's unique 360º prism. Setting out could not be easier, enter the setting out co-ordinates into the control unit and the graphic display guides the rover into position with millimetre accuracy every time.
The Geotracer System 2004 RTK is a 12 channel, dual frequency, high quality digital receiver. Data collected is L1 & L2 C/A code. The receiver is capable of working with all the measuring methods common to GPS such as Static, Rapid Static, Pseudo Static, Kinematic, Stop and Go Kinematic and Real Time Kinematic. In the RTK mode typical accuracies of ±5mm are achieved. The integrated Geodimeter System 600 Total Station is capable of tracking a moving target at up to 4m/s with a typical accuracy of ±5mm.
